Civil Rights

A&A NO LONGER REPRESENTS CLIENTS IN CIVIL RIGHTS MATTERS. THE FOREGOING PAGE IS INFORMATIONAL ONLY AND SHOULD NOT BE RELIED UPON BY ANY WEBSITE VISITOR.

Every individual residing in this country is entitled to be free from civil rights violations. Where an individual suffers an injury at the hands of law enforcement personnel, that person may have a cause of action.

A&A’s civil rights practice focuses on securing compensation for violations of constitutionally protected rights. A&A’s experience permits us to understand not only the nature of the litigation, but also makes us very sympathetic to the needs of the injured person.

A&A has represented individuals who suffered civil rights violations such as false arrest, false imprisonment, and excessive force by law enforcement personnel.

PLEASE NOTE THAT CERTAIN JURISDICTIONS REQUIRE A PLAINTIFF TO FILE A “NOTICE OF CLAIM” PRIOR TO INSTITUTING SUIT. SUCH NOTICE MUST BE FILED AS EARLY AS NINETY (90) DAYS AFTER THE ACTUAL OCCURRENCE. AS SUCH, A&A ENCOURAGES THOSE WEBSITE VISITORS WHO BELIEVE THEY HAVE BEEN INJURED TO CONTACT AN ATTORNEY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
